The Continental Cup Islas Canarias has become the international reference of professional Beach Volleyball
After an intense and exciting weekend of the best sporting event, the Continental Cup Islas Canarias has reached its end, becoming one of the best events held recently in the Canary Islands. The Continental Cup is the new star competition of the FIVB and this phase has been developed in different continental areas.
Austria and Germany become the brand new Olympic Qualifying Tournament Winners
Impressive spectacle of the best Beach Volleyball show the experienced during this Sunday at the Continental Cup Islas Canarias, which since last Friday has been held in Playa Fañabé, Costa Adeje, Tenerife.
After almost 10 hours of the best sport spectacle in the world, finally the winners are known; Austria in the men category and Germany in the female category are the national teams who after an exciting and busy day have managed to lift the Champions Cup.
The best audience of the World in the Continental Cup Canary Islands
One of the contributions of the Continental Cup Canary Islands to the Beach Volleyball, both in the Canary Islands and in the rest of the world, was the attraction to the tournament in a whole new audience who was really interested in sports competition.
During the three days of tournament and during the ten hours of competition each day, thousands of people visit the facilities of the Beach Volleyball Olympic Qualification Tournament located in Playa Fañabe.
Laura Ludwig, the big star of the World Beach Volley, triumphs in Tenerife
The German Laura Ludwig has been rediscovered in Tenerife as the star and idol of the world Beach Volley. Ludwig and her German team-mates, Sara Goller, Ilka Semmler and Katrin Holtwick, have become Champions of the Continental Cup Islas Canarias, held last weekend in Playa Fañabé.

Last Saturday, October 1st took place the Grand Gala Dinner of the Continental Cup Islas Canarias that brought together the authorities of the highest hierarchical level of the archipelago. The event came about at the Hotel Sheraton La Caleta Resort & Spa and was undoubtedly, one of the most glamorous events held during the year in the islands.

La Continental Cup Islas Canarias celebrada entre los pasados 30 de Septiembre y 2 de Octubre contó en su estadio de Playa Fañabé con una Zona VIP que fue uno de los lugares más transitados del evento. La Zona VIP atendida por Fred. Olsen Express fue lugar de reunión de autoridades, empresarios e invitados entre los que se contó con la presencia de autoridades como el Presidente de la RFEVB y Vicepresidente de la CEV, Agustín Martín Santos; el Viceconsejero de Turismo del Gobierno de Canarias, Ricardo Fernández de la Puente; la Consejera de Deportes del Cabildo de Tenerife, Mª del Cristo Pérez Zamora; el Consejero de Aguas del Cabildo de Tenerife, Jesús Morales Martínez; el Concejal de Turismo del Ayuntamiento de Adeje, Rafael Dolado García; el Concejal de Deportes y Juventud del Ayuntamiento de Adeje, Adolfo Alonso Ferrera; representantes de Sheraton La Caleta, de Iberia, de Fred. Olsen Express, de Urbanización Playa Fañabé, de CIT Sur, de Ashotel, y otras empresas, además de representantes de las dos mayores agencias de publicidad de España. Todos ellos dedicaron unos minutos durante la jornada para posar junto al photocallde la compañía que fue ubicado en dicha Zona VIP. El palco VIP al completo vivió el Golden Set de la final femenina entre Alemania e Italia con gran emoción y entusiasmo, permaneciendo en pie durante su transcurso.
Autoridades e invitados tampoco quisieron perderse la Cena de Gala de la Continental Cup Islas Canarias celebrada el Sábado 1 de Octubre, uno de los eventos con mayor glamour de los celebrados durante el año en las islas. Los jardines de Sheraton La Caleta Resort & Spa fueron el escenario de una elegante velada que transcurrió al aire libre y junto al mar. Carlos Cabeza, Director de la Continental Cup Islas Canarias, actuó como perfecto anfitrión junto a la Directora de Marketing del hotel, Rosangel Quezada, encargándose de recibir personalmente a cada uno de los invitados y de ofrecer el discurso de bienvenida a los presentes. La velada, en la que estuvieron presentes autoridades del más alto nivel jerárquico del Archipiélago y otros invitados, transcurrió con gran éxito durante una noche cargada de encanto y glamour.
